Music
Camilla started piano lessons when she was six years old. At the time, she had no idea that her love for music would only grow.
During high school, Camilla competed in piano competitions around North Carolina and internationally. She has won 15 awards, most notably a 1st place win in the Music Wonderland International Competition, Russia, in 2021, 2nd place in the Salzburg Stars International Competition in 2020 and 3rd place, Nouvelles Etoiles International Piano Compétition in 2020.
Camilla also enjoys being a collaborative pianist. In 2021, she organized a benefit concert, Happiness in Harmony, with her friends Hailey Guerra, clarinetist, and Anneke Calhoun, violinist. The concert raised $8,770 for the WCPE Education Fund which provides grants to non-profit music programs around North Carolina. Here is a promotional video she and Hailey filmed for the concert:
Camilla received the Emerging Talent in Piano Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studies piano under the tutelage of Dr. Clara Yang. Camilla has also had the opportunity to learn from Mimi Solomon, Dr. Olga Kleiankina, Walter Orsingher, Marco Busetta, and Ivana Lazarov.
At the end of her junior year at UNC, Camilla presented her junior piano recital with works by Ottorino Respighi, Claude Debussy, Ernesto Lecuona, and Robert Schumann.
Teaching at CF Piano Studio
In 2017, Camilla founded her piano studio for one student in Bologna, Italy. Upon moving to the United States, Camilla’s studio grew, and she has taught over 20 students ages 6 to 20.
